LC Call Numbers - Cutter Year
What is this?
While some cutters can be quite long, a very long number at the end of a call number (especially with a well-placed 1 or 2) can be an indicator that the final cutter and publication date do not have the needed space between them.

Why is this trouble?
A call number without space between its components may be difficult to read, and may or may not match what appears on the spine label. It may make the physical volume harder to find on the shelf.
Exceptions
It is very possible to have cutters long enough to match this pattern, but it is not likely especially when fewer cutters contain "1" or "2".
