LC Call Numbers - Space Space

What is this?

One pattern that can show up in LC call numbers in catalogs is a space directly followed by another space, like this:

```

Why is this trouble?

It is non-standard to have two spaces in a row in a call number, so parsing, searching, displaying, or printing this call number may not work correctly. It may be difficult to notice this difference depending on your font or display.

How to Find

If you are in Alma, there is an analysis to search for this issue in the "Looking for Trouble" folder. Go to the "LC Call Numbers" folder and look for the "Space Space" analysis.

If you can search or filter your call numbers by regular expression, use the expression / / (two spaces).
